Mills says $1.2 million phase for Pindell area is nearly ready to go out to bid

City staff told the council the municipality is preparing a federal drawdown and that phase 1 of a drainage and street project will cover Pindell (PennDell in some references), Northwestern, Johnson, Morgan and Wyoming Boulevard.
“The project total is $1,200,000, and we are just about this close to going out to bid,” the clerk said while answering residents’ questions about timing and project scope. Council members said the full project had been quoted previously at roughly $5,000,000, which is why staff are phasing the work.
Staff said the project will be divided into phases so the city can match grant funding and manage costs; no bid documents were available at the meeting and the council did not vote on awards. Council members said they hoped the first phase would reach Wasatch and extend toward Wyoming Boulevard, but staff made no promises about final limits or schedules beyond the bid timing.
