Property owner urges council to investigate alleged Blue Peak easement trespass

Resident Jim Hollander described a long-running dispute with a contractor he identified as Blue Peak, saying the company had placed poles and boxes across portions of his property and that he was told the company threatened law enforcement if he interfered.
“I own all that from 300 to $2.48…they said they'll call a sheriff on me if I keep them on,” Hollander said as he described maps, plats and what he said were no recorded overhead easements on his lots.
Council staff and a council member advised Hollander to obtain a title commitment to identify recorded easements. The city’s attorney offered direct help: “If you give me a call on that, at the office, I can probably point you in the right direction for a title commitment,” the attorney said, offering to review documents and point Hollander to the proper commitment and searches.
Council staff agreed to have public works inspect the sites identified by Hollander, and the attorney said the city would look into whether any trespass or ordinance violations had occurred. No formal enforcement action was taken at the meeting; staff and the attorney committed to follow up with the resident and report back to the council.
