Dave Peterson was elected chair of the St. Croix County Board of Adjustment at the start of the July 23 meeting after a single nomination and a unanimous voice vote. Peterson, who assumed the gavel immediately, thanked his predecessor: "I publicly thank Buck Malek for all the time that he's put in here and the diligent work he's done for us," he said.
The new chair moved the officer elections to the beginning of the agenda so the board could complete business. Joe Miller was nominated and elected vice chair after no further nominations were offered. The board proceeded with the agenda as modified and verified that the meeting had been properly advertised.
