Council heard a staff report on two lots purchased from the Canyon School District and declared the parcels surplus under Resolution 24-40 to enable the city to accept and evaluate development proposals received in response to an RFP.
Staff (Barker, speaker 2) said an RFP process is underway, offers are due at the end of the month, and declaring the parcels surplus is a necessary step before evaluating proposals and moving toward sale or selection. Councilmember Green said the housekeeping item will allow the city to move forward quickly with bids.
The motion to adopt Resolution 24-40 passed unanimously (4–0). Staff will evaluate offers and return with recommendations.
