Ludlow youth basketball heads to jamboree and regional tournament

The Ludlow Recreation Committee heard a status update on youth basketball from Parks & Recreation Director Nick Miele, who described strong family turnout and volunteer support during January.
"This past month all our teams continued their busy season with practices and games. Over the course of the month of January, we hosted a handful of home games in the Ludlow Community Center, and the spectator turnout was fantastic," Miele reported. He added that parents have helped by running the scoreboard when staff have to officiate.
Miele said the 3/4 teams will play in a jamboree on Saturday at the community center as the season winds toward tournament play. He also noted that the 5/6 boys will be participating in the Flood Brook "March Mayhem" tournament which starts at the end of next month. No changes to fees or schedule were proposed at the meeting.
