County manager Jaramillo updated the commission on several administrative and program items: the workforce-based learning grant application window opened the day of the meeting (ARPA funds administered through the Taos Community Foundation) and closes Feb. 1; the community schools director recruitment closes Dec. 13; and the county’s audit materials were submitted on time.
He said staff will advertise a veteran cemetery supervisor/coordinator position and work with Santa Fe National Cemetery on joint training. Jaramillo also previewed a senior Christmas dinner on Dec. 19 and an employee holiday party on Dec. 20. He thanked finance and HR staff for completing audit items and reminded commissioners of the training and grant deadlines.
