The Zoning Board of Adjustment approved the May 5, 2026 public hearing minutes on a motion by Laurel McKenzie, seconded by Carl Jevne; the board recorded the vote as 3‑2‑0 with Ken Prien and Peter Chamberlain abstaining. Several hearings were continued for on‑site review: ZBA 26‑12 (Highland Ave subdivision frontage variance) was continued to a site walk on Monday, June 8 at 5:00 p.m.; ZBA 26‑14 (29 Hathorn Rd commercial/recreation variance) and ZBA 26‑15 (special exception for a public recreation facility on the same property) were continued to a site walk on Monday, June 22 at 3:00 p.m.
The board also recorded that ZBA 26‑16 (40 Charlonne St conversion) was withdrawn by the applicant without prejudice; the applicant indicated she will refile a variance under Section V, 5.17.1. A draft Code of Ethics signed by two of the three Selectmen was shared with the Board for review, and the meeting adjourned at 8:27 p.m.
