Neighbors warn narrow roads, blind curves and emergency response limits make Naked Creek campground unsafe

Residents also cited volunteer fire departments and intermittent staffing at nearby stations as a limitation: "If you have a fire, your place is gonna burn up," one neighbor said, urging clearer fire‑truck access plans.
The planning staff noted updated VDOT comments from a recent data collection and encouraged conditions from agencies be attached to any permit; commissioners tabled the matter to allow staff and the applicant to work with agencies on traffic and emergency-response issues.
