Road & Bridge and Rio Verde outline Pocket Creek realignment, fairgrounds and landfill plans

Billy Pape, Road & Bridge, briefed the commissioners on current road and facility activities and told the board the landfill has an insurance claim in process for repairs. Mike Jackson of Rio Verde Engineering told commissioners he will present a formal Pocket Creek realignment proposal at the beginning of March and said the Fairgrounds and the Reardon project are set to begin soon.
Jackson also discussed options for assessing Proactive building sites and provided preliminary Jorgensen cost ranges for remodeling versus new construction; those estimates were discussed separately (see facility assessment article). The board signaled no objections to advancing engineering proposals to the March meeting schedule.
