Extension staff seek split meter, more outdoor lighting; 4‑H reports 268 members

Amy Smith, Ag & Natural Resources Educator with the University of Wyoming Extension, repeated a request to increase outdoor lighting at the Extension Office and to split the electric meter that the office currently shares with the Weed & Pest office. Smith asked the board for an update on those infrastructure changes so the Extension Office can proceed with routine programming and safety improvements.
Shelbie Hanlon, 4‑H Youth Development Educator, reported that 4‑H activities are ramping up for spring, and said the program has 268 members and 48 volunteers. New Youth Show Coordinator Sabina Wyse introduced herself, said she is from Powell, Wyoming, and told the board she has already begun preparing for the fair. Commissioner Aaron Walsh moved to accept the Extension report; the motion was seconded and passed.
