Erin Ladd told the Planning Commission that MARC will begin Municipal Plan work on July 1, 2026 and that she and Chair Noah Schmidt will meet ahead of a joint‑boards meeting scheduled for June 15. Ladd said there is funding in the budget for MARC to assist and that the plan should be ready to adopt by September 2027; she also cautioned about a single staff member making changes without board review.
Commissioners discussed outreach strategies: holding a charrette with posterboards, distributing surveys via QR codes, tax‑bill inserts or postcards, and taking a booth at the Farmers’ Market. Ed D'Ottavio volunteered to share questions used in a Cavendish survey as a model. The group emphasized targeted stakeholder outreach for lakeside property owners and other affected groups.
