Julie Nicoll reported she had spoken with a resident who supported the closure initially but was concerned about buses speeding. Justin Hyjek asked for letters from Chief Whalen and Chief Warfle; the board elected to table a decision and leave the barrier in place for now.
The board indicated it will pursue additional data and community input — including police feedback and direct outreach to a concerned resident — before deciding whether to make the seasonal closure permanent.
