Local Health Nurse Administrator Lindee Thomas, joined by William Cline and Max Harlan, informed the board that county health staff are preparing a request to Service Area 5 for preparedness funding. The intended request totals approximately $70,000 and would cover automated external defibrillators (AEDs) with wall cabinets for county campgrounds, the sheriff's office, the secondary roads office and the county office building, along with radios and 'Stop The Bleed' kits. Thomas told the board that, should Service Area 5 award the grant, the county will need a budget amendment to pass those funds through.
