Fiscal Court approves budget amendments, transfers and claims payments

The Whitley County Fiscal Court on Feb. 17 approved multiple budget actions, including the second reading of Ordinance 2025-08 (Budget Amendment #3) and adoption of Ordinance 2026-01 (Budget Amendment #1). Michael Jarboe moved to approve both ordinances; the motions were recorded as passing with all present voting yea.
In the same series of motions the court approved appropriation transfers, inter-fund transfers and both payment and pre-paid claims as presented. Scotty Harrison moved to approve the appropriation transfers, and the minutes state that the court voted unanimously to authorize the transfers. The court’s minutes do not list dollar amounts in the text.
