Commissioner Thomas West raised concerns about the town’s temporary sign ordinance as it applies to campaign signs, saying the volume of signs and the need to coordinate landowner permission make the current process difficult to administer and may raise constitutional concerns.
West told the Commission he will supply additional information on what may be legally allowed and suggested that the Commission consider making campaign signs one of the exceptions in the temporary sign rules. The minutes note no formal action was taken at the meeting; the issue was left for further review.
