During the second public-comment period a PTA representative identified as Kristen reported that the district and its PTA won multiple New Jersey PTA awards, including a middle-school advocacy award and a $3,500 grant to build a grief-sensitive school mental-health center. "We won 4 out of the 12," she said, and noted donations arriving for students including wheelchairs and a book-vending machine.
Board members thanked PTA volunteers, praised the programmatic work (food pantry, mental-health fair) and noted plans to publicly post presentation materials. The comments were celebratory in tone; board members and staff emphasized community partnerships and volunteer contributions to student experiences.
