Work underway on aeration tanks; Ramboll called in to diagnose slide gate failures

District staff reported construction and maintenance activity in multiple aeration tanks and scheduled equipment startups.
Work has commenced in aeration tanks #1 and #2 with removal of equipment and bridge platforms and drop pipe installation ongoing. Return sludge pump #1 has been installed and startup was scheduled for April 24, 2026. Staff also reported that slide gates in aeration tanks #3 and #4 are not operating correctly; Ramboll visited the site to identify the issue and the District is awaiting Ramboll’s determination and a proposal for corrections.
Commissioners were informed of the sequence of work and of the planned startup date for the installed pump; no vote was taken on the repairs during the meeting.
