Commissioners approve AED and Narcan policy updates and new training requirement for employees handling money

Human Resources Director Andrea Jean and Janna Lee presented an updated AED policy and revisions to the county’s Narcan policy; Commissioner White moved to approve the policies and Commissioner Stephens seconded. The motions carried 5-0.
Separately, Clerk Rice was authorized to work with County Attorney Melinkovich to create a policy requiring county employees who handle accounts payable or revenue to complete the Department of Audit's Building Better Boards training. The board recorded the training directive as a step to strengthen internal controls.
