Planning staff summarized a package of minor corrections and clarifications to the recently adopted Land Development Ordinance and its applications manual and said most changes are editorial or technical. Mr. Noel told the commission, “We do have have a few minor updates, clarifications, some typos, errors, and things that we were able to catch” and highlighted changes that clarify that prior Planned Unit Developments will continue to run with the land but should be amended to conform to the new code when altered.
Staff also recommended changes to accessory‑structure rules to focus standards on low‑density residential (one‑ to four‑unit) properties and to set a building‑area maximum (up to 1,500 square feet, or 20 percent of gross lot area, whichever is less). Mr. Noel said the revisions add a missing MR district reference and incorporate floodplain lowest‑floor clarifications after communication with the Department of Natural Resources and FEMA guidance. A motion to adopt the text amendments passed on a roll‑call vote, 7-0.
