The Town of Manchester Selectboard unanimously appointed Cynthia Kilburn as an interim Selectboard member during its March 24 special meeting.
Chair Ivan Beattie said the board had two acceptable interim candidates—Wayne Bell and Cynthia Kilburn—and Laurie Kunz moved to appoint Kilburn. Jonathan West seconded the motion and the board voted “all in favor,” 4-0. The minutes record that Kilburn must take the Oath of Office with Town Clerk Anita Sheldon before officially joining the board.
The appointment will cover the period prior to the special election scheduled for June 2, 2026. The minutes do not record a formal term end date beyond the statement that the appointment is for the interim period prior to the election.
