At the June 29 meeting Michael Allen proposed registering short-term rentals so the town can better measure how those units affect local housing supply and community character. The proposal was presented as one of several ideas to mitigate perceived housing issues and to inform future planning decisions.
Commissioners also discussed broader housing and energy policy directions as part of the town plan update. No formal action on a registration program was taken; the item remains a proposal to be refined after public feedback on the draft framework.
