The Town of Manchester Selectboard on Feb. 17 adopted the Town Road and Bridge Standards required by the Vermont Agency of Transportation and signed the Certificate of Compliance for the town's road and bridge network inventory. Town Manager Scott Murphy said the annual adoption confirms the town meets state standards when working on roads, culverts and bridges.
Jonathan West moved to adopt the standards and subsequently moved to accept and sign the Certificate of Compliance; Laurie Kunz seconded both motions and the board approved each 5-0. The actions document the town's compliance with VTrans expectations and preserve eligibility for certain state programs and assistance tied to road and bridge standards.
