County engineer says Old Vincennes Road project almost complete; Schreiber intersection open

County Engineer Horacio Urieta told the Floyd County commissioners that the Old Vincennes Road project is on track for completion by the third week of September and that guardrail installation is scheduled for Thursday.
Urieta also reported that he walked Bridge 51 and that work is "going fine" and that a new sign restricting loads to 14 tons and prohibiting triaxles has been installed. Chief Operations Officer Nick Creevy added the intersection at Schreiber is open and the traffic signal is functioning with a few punch-list items still to complete. No specific INDOT dates were announced for final letting on Bridge 51 during the meeting.
