Michael Allen, project lead with Regrowth Planning, told the Planning Commission the Town Plan Visioning Survey launched Jan. 20 and “has received a total of 147 responses,” but that participation has slowed since an initial surge. He said the highest‑priority topics so far are attracting desired local businesses and jobs, housing affordability and availability, and addressing needs of young families and youth.
Allen outlined where responses came from—67 from paid Meta advertising, 49 from the town website, 30 from local Facebook group postings, and 1 from printed flyers—and said the online comment form had received no new submissions since Jan. 22. To raise participation ahead of the mid‑March Visioning Workshop, Allen said he plans to staff a table on Town Meeting Day to promote the survey and encourage broader community input. The commission noted those preliminary results will inform the presentation and interactive elements planned for the workshop at the Taconic.
