Commissioners tweak capital pages: parking lot, appraiser payout, mosquito repairs and department allocations

During review of the clerk's recommended budget July 27, commissioners identified several clerical and substantive capital adjustments. Staff said a retirement payout for the appraiser had been omitted and proposed restoring $6,000 to that line while zeroing a $4,000 stipend line; the board agreed and said the net would be covered from reserves if necessary.
Staff also corrected a mosquito-abatement vehicle-repair line that had been entered as $800; the board reinstated the intended $8,000 and noted that the $7,200 difference would come from reserves unless cuts were found elsewhere. For PILT/parking-lot work north of Venture Way staff said $200,000 should be increased to $500,000 to allow for a new gravel parking lot; commissioners agreed budgeting the larger amount now could simplify planning even if some of the work is completed with leftover funds this year. Staff will update capital pages and identify where reserves will be used.
