The Middlesex Broadband Authority adopted its FY 2026–27 budget at the Jan. 15 meeting after Treasurer Ann Marie Ricardi reported the MBA executive director had requested $15,000 from the Board of Supervisors during the county budget workshop.
Discussion during the budget item referenced the SURF reserve and a property near the Food Lion that may be a SURF property; Executive Director Kevin Gentry said BEAD funding should address the Food Lion property and other individual unserved properties, and the board voted unanimously to adopt the budget included in the packet.
