Middlesex Broadband Authority elects officers, adopts budget and approves 2026–27 calendar

The Middlesex Broadband Authority met Jan. 15, 2026, elected officers for the year and took several unanimous procedural actions, including adopting its FY 2026–27 budget and approving a quarterly meeting calendar for 2026–27.
Board member Casey Mewborn moved to elect Wayne Jessie as chairman, a motion seconded by Greg Grichtmeier and carried unanimously. Mewborn and Grichtmeier likewise moved and seconded the election of Carrie Dos Santos as vice-chair and the reappointment of AnnMarie Ricardi as secretary/treasurer; both motions passed unanimously. The board also approved minutes from July 17, 2025, after a motion by Grichtmeier and second by Dos Santos.
Treasurer Ann Marie Ricardi reported that Executive Director Kevin Gentry requested $15,000 in county funding at the Board of Supervisors’ budget workshop. The board adopted the FY 2026–27 budget as provided in the meeting packet by unanimous vote. The authority approved a 2026–27 meeting calendar (quarterly, third Thursday) listing dates through January 2027. With no further business the board adjourned at 5:52 p.m.; the next meeting is scheduled for April 16, 2026.
