Board approves hires and pay changes including EMS trainer at $83,532

Human Resources Director Beth Deardorff presented payroll change notices to the board on July 21. The board approved hiring Laura Mulnix as Legal Secretary I at $27.06/hour effective July 28, 2026, and granted a negotiated benefit exception of eight additional vacation hours as part of her hiring.
The board also approved a series of pay adjustments in the Sheriff's Office (including step increases and pay changes for corrections and deputy positions) and approved hiring Adam Novak as EMS Training and Operations Coordinator at an annual salary of $83,532 effective July 28, 2026. The board received and filed one Conservation payroll change and approved the remainder of the items by motion.
