The Dallas County Board of Supervisors approved six resolutions on July 21 imposing additional assessments to replenish deficient funds for multiple drainage districts. The approved amounts were: $3,700 for DD #27; $6,500 for DD #32; $5,800 for DD #37; $9,500 for DD #80; $3,500 for DD #5; and $3,000 for DD #8, totaling $32,000.
Each resolution directs the county auditor to spread the special assessment on the tax books and states that deferred payments will draw interest at 7%. Chair Julia Helm and Supervisors Kim Chapman and Brad Golightly voted unanimously to adopt the resolutions. The board recorded the resolutions by number (e.g., Resolution 2026-007D for DD #27) and completed the attestation with Auditor Todd Halbur.
