The Selectboard voted unanimously on May 19 to appoint Anne Reed to the Conservation Commission on the commission’s recommendation. Chair Richard Baker made the motion and Christopher Whalen seconded.
The board authorized Town Clerk Bobbi Brimblecombe to sign and submit Emergency Watershed Program performance reports. The OSC building committee reported work on new signage and playground repairs (including new wood chips and play sand), and the board approved letting the OSC committee choose gym colors within the proposed palette.
Board members also heard from the town about a house demolition site where owner Jenny Warshow said asbestos testing showed no asbestos and that removing the house debris would cost approximately $40,000; she does not plan to rebuild. The town reported two complainants had called about debris. The board chose not to take further enforcement action at the meeting and said staff will work with the family.
