Rensselaer County’s CAD team has programmed box alarms for 21 fire departments into the CAD system and is awaiting final chief approvals for nine additional departments before uploading the remaining files to the county website. The minutes say completed box-alarm files are consolidated into a single PDF at https://www.rensco.com/307/Box-Alarm-Assignments.
The written Bureau report accompanying the minutes lists nine departments with completed box alarms that are pending chiefs’ sign-off. Once approvals are received, the programming will be completed and the consolidated file posted publicly. The report noted that pre-plans cannot be entered into CAD because the system is not designed for that function.
