Watonga board removes former signatory from Bank7 accounts, adds board president as signatory

The Watonga Board of Education voted on Oct. 28, 2025, to remove Andy Wigington’s name from all school accounts at Bank7 and to add Board President Mayra Flynn as a signatory on the district’s Treasury and Draft accounts.
Aaron Clewell moved and Dwight McGee seconded the first motion to remove Wigington from school accounts; the board recorded the vote as Cox-yes; McGee-yes; Clewell-yes; Flynn-yes (motion carried 4-0). Clewell then moved and McGee seconded a second motion to add Mayra Flynn to the Treasury and Draft accounts at Bank7; that motion also passed unanimously.
The actions were taken at a special meeting called by President Mayra Flynn at 12:00 noon in the Administration Board Room, 1200 Eagle Lane, Watonga. The minutes list Mr. Hilterbran, Connie Burcham and Doris Ware among those attending in addition to the four board members who voted on the motions.
The minutes do not record any explanation in the open session for the change in signatories beyond the motions and unanimous votes. The board adjourned the special meeting at 12:14 p.m.
