Design Board approves relocation of Northshire Holdings signs; owner Chris Conte recused

The Design Advisory Board on March 4 approved Northshire Holdings’ application to relocate two existing wall-mounted signs to a property on Ways Lane, using existing 4" x 4" posts and existing lighting. The application (S-2026-16, Tax Map: 36-50-22.00) was presented by Chris Conte, who identified himself as the owner of Northshire Holdings.
Conte described the signs as 72" x 24" panels that would be mounted back-to-back on existing posts and would overhang each post by approximately 6" on each side. Because Conte is a member of the board and the applicant, he stepped away and recused himself from the vote; the board approved the application 4-0 after discussion.
Ray Nevin moved to approve the application; the motion was seconded by Mary Shoener and the transcript records the motion carrying 4-0 with Conte recused.
