Selectboard briefed on summer events, staffing changes and Vermont Wild games
Summary

At the April 21 meeting Town Manager Scott Murphy provided multiple administrative and event updates. Murphy said StreetFest and Concerts on the Green dates are set and “all dates are fully sponsored.” He also announced the resignation of HR staffer Katie Dixon and said recruitment is underway; Murphy noted longtime employee Geoff Sprankle will retire at the beginning of May after 34 years of service.
Murphy told the board that Ekwanok Country Club is slated to host a 2030 National USGA event (as reported to the board) and that the Town has a tentative agreement with the Vermont Wild Football Club for home matches at Applejack Stadium on May 22, June 13, June 20, June 27 and July 3. The board did not take formal action on these updates; they were provided for informational and planning purposes.
Town staff will proceed with recruitment for the HR position and coordinate logistics with event sponsors and the Vermont Wild contingent as needed.
