Wrestling schedule, limited gym space complicate meal-service plans

Committee members raised calendar and space constraints that shape any interim meal plan. One committee member said, "Wrestling begins... the Monday before Thanksgiving this year. 20th, roughly, of November," and emphasized the district needs at least one large space that can host daily meal service. With one gym out of commission, officials said choices are limited to the wrestling room, a second gym, or the media center.
Board and staff also discussed mat storage and the need to roll or store large mats if the wrestling room is repurposed for meals. Several members cautioned that accommodating breakfast and lunch service, plus youth athletics and preschool schedules, will require detailed master-schedule adjustments to avoid repeating moves mid‑season. Staff said they would attempt to sequence work so the wrestling room would be available by the start of wrestling season.
