Marshfield DRB closes design-review hearing for Booth property, asks for clearer setback markings

Kathleen Hayes, Acting Chair of the Marshfield Development Review Board, called the June 25 meeting to order and swore in attendees before the board heard a deferred design-review application for Parcel ID RT208B on U.S. Route 2.
Surveyor Robert Townsend presented the proposal on behalf of applicants Sheila and Tim Booth, describing construction of a 16-foot by 80-foot single-family residence on an approximately 10.9-acre parcel that is primarily in the Agricultural and Rural Residential District with a portion in the Forestry and Conservation District. Townsend told the board the residence would be served by a drilled well and an approved on-site wastewater system and would use an existing driveway with an existing state access permit and recorded easement to U.S. Route 2.
The Zoning Administrator, Lorraine Banbury, reviewed the submitted site plan with the board and identified several missing setback lines. Board members asked that the final plan clearly show stream buffer setbacks; pond setbacks were already marked. The board concluded these plan clarifications were necessary before it could complete its final design-review decision.
No vote on final approval was recorded. The Development Review Board closed the hearing and moved into deliberations at 7:40 p.m.; the minutes were prepared by Lorraine Banbury, acting clerk.
