Developers to secure public improvements for Oak Lawn Estates phases; no county funds required

Senior engineer Ahmad Nemati told commissioners the developer will pay for the work and surface asphalt, sanitary sewer will be provided by the City of Memphis, and the county’s general fund will not be used: "The developer will place the surface asphalt. Also... sanitary sewer will be provided by City of Memphis," Nemati said. He added that all work will be inspected by the county engineering office and that no county general funds were required for these two phases.
Both items were moved and seconded on the floor with no commissioners queued for extended questions; each was forwarded to the full commission on Monday with favorable recommendations. The committee record shows routine project conditions — bonding and inspection by engineering staff — and indicates the actions are developer‑funded public improvements tied to plat recording procedures.
