Clerk/Treasurer Michelle Klein told trustees that a citation issued regarding activity on Rose Street resulted in a guilty finding and that two additional citations are now proceeding through the court system. The board requested that the Village Attorney be contacted to determine enforcement options for operating a business in a residentially zoned area.
Klein also informed the board that the village currently does not issue business licenses, a fact trustees noted as they considered enforcement pathways. No formal ordinance change or licensing action was taken at the Jan. 12 meeting; the matter will proceed with legal consultation and any required court processes.
