Planning staff told the board to expect long staff reports and high public turnout at a special meeting next Wednesday to consider a planned development, rezoning and Certificates of Appropriateness for 11 parcels primarily in the downtown area. "We do expect a lot of public turnout," staff said, and advised members to notify staff if they could not attend.
Staff also said the department is finalizing the open space and recreation plan and that additional LDR amendments will be needed later in the year to implement recent state-law changes. The board discussed logistics, public-notice practices and room capacity and was reminded of 3-minute public comment limits and the use of comment cards at public hearings.
