Planning board approves mural at 1201 South Federal Highway

The Lake Worth Beach Planning & Zoning Board unanimously approved PZB project 25-00007 on Aug. 6, granting conditional approval for a mural on the east facade of the building at 1201 South Federal Highway. Community planner Rosie Escobar presented the application on behalf of applicant Kelly Olive and said staff's analysis found the artwork met the comprehensive plan, strategic plan and community appearance criteria for murals.
"The proposed mural...illustrates art and nature inspired elements and will be installed using high quality weather resistant materials to ensure durability and longevity," Rosie Escobar said during the presentation. The staff report identified the mural’s location, provided renderings and included conditions of approval. The board moved, seconded, and voted in favor; there was no public comment in the meeting room.
