"It's just putting a clarification and revision into the existing sign code to allow signs in city rights of way in particular instances," staff said. The board asked who would decide whether a requested non-city sign serves a public purpose; staff replied the City Commission is the deciding body for non-city signs while the city manager may authorize city signs. The board moved to recommend the ordinance to the City Commission and approved that recommendation by voice vote.
