Village explores replacing water mains alongside DOT projects; could be eligible for up to 55% funding

Davy Engineering has completed paperwork for Safe Drinking Water Act loan and grant applications and told the Village it could be eligible for funding covering up to 55% of project costs. Staff said the plans must be complete by the end of June for the Village to be considered for that funding cycle. The board requested further discussion with engineering firm MSA to confirm scope, schedule and funding details.
No formal motion to commit to the project was recorded; the board asked staff to pursue engineering coordination and grant applications so the village can make an informed decision before DOT work begins.
