City Administrator Jeremiah Hoyt told the council he would be out of the office later in the week to attend a conference and thanked the Anamosa Chamber of Commerce for hosting Ridiculous Days, expressing appreciation to participants and organizers. The comments were recorded as part of the administrator’s report.
Council Member Brian Hurt reported that the Young Aviators Program was successful and similar programs are planned for the future; he also noted the pickleball program has begun and been well received. Hurt reported the Park Board discussed drainage at Monroe Field, Open Meetings Law, and budget requirements at its most recent meeting. No council action was requested on these reports at the July 13 meeting.
