As part of routine business the Bradley County Commission on July 20 approved a motion to award retiring employee Jeff Gunter his duty handgun, a Sig Sauer P365 bearing serial number 66A277025, in recognition of more than 20 years of service. Commissioner Mike Hughes made the motion and Commissioner Josh Rogers seconded; the roll call vote was unanimous (12–0).
A retirement letter from the Cleveland/Bradley County Office of Emergency Management and Homeland Security (attached in the record) requested formal recognition of Mr. Gunter’s service and requested the presentation of his service weapon upon retirement effective August 6, 2026. The letter names Troy Spence as Director and was recorded in the meeting attachments.
