Council hears updates on Don's Market removal and geothermal well transfer

Stan Foster told the council a two-step process to assess and remove the Don's Market building is in progress and that an update meeting is scheduled for Sept. 12; a more complete report will be provided at the Sept. 23 council meeting.
Foster also said hospital assessment and due-diligence efforts related to transfer of the Barry Geothermal well ownership and assumption of associated debt continue, and that all parties are optimistic the transfer will be completed soon. No final action was taken; staff will return with further updates at the Sept. 23 meeting.
