Bradley County approves interlocal annexation agreement with Cleveland for 19.98 acres on Dalton Pike South

It also says sanitary sewer is not present and would require approximately 4,850 linear feet of sewer force main and a pump station; the engineering opinion of probable construction cost shown in the plan is $1,971,750 for sewer improvements. The plan attached a fire‑protection estimate of $10,000 to install a hydrant and estimated an annual incremental revenue to the city of roughly $80,325.16. The plan further estimated an education impact of about 32 school‑age children.
The Commission opened a public hearing before the vote. The work‑session record from July 13 — entered into the record as related material — shows local residents and community groups urging caution about large development proposals in the same geography and asking the county to study data‑center impacts generally. County Mayor D. Gary Davis told the work session the county had received no data‑center application as of that meeting. The annexation interlocal agreement signed by both jurisdictions says the City will provide the plan‑of‑service items listed in the attachment and that, for this particular annexation, no special city emergency‑service obligations to interceding county properties are required because none were identified in the chain of properties between the city boundary and the annexation parcel.
