The Town Council unanimously approved two event-related road-closure requests at its Aug. 12 meeting.
Ginger Casto outlined the Roundup plans and requested street closures to accommodate live music, a dunk tank and other activities; the council approved closing streets "from 12 a.m. to 12 p.m. on August 28" after a motion by Mayor Kevin Sims and a second from Councilor Collins. Later, Shelley Batty requested closure for the Labor Day parade on Sept. 1; Councilor Collins moved and Councilor Tracy seconded and the motion carried five–zero.
The approvals were recorded with the standard five aye votes and no dissent. Staff will handle traffic control and notification as part of event permitting and coordination.
