The Crooks City Council approved a contract with Builders Electric to perform an electrical upgrade at the Lehi pump house, authorizing work to pull new wiring through existing conduit with a contingency that the contractor consult the city before trenching new conduit.
The Chair read bid figures for pulling wiring through the old conduit; Builders Electric's bid was cited at roughly $2,004 while the alternate quote was approximately $2,006. Council members said that if the contractor cannot fish wiring through the old conduit they would be consulted before incurring the higher trenching cost.
A council member moved to accept Builders Electric's bid and the motion carried on roll call. Staff indicated Builders Electric would notify the city before proceeding to trench new conduit if needed.
