Commissioners approve FY27 budget amendment to reappropriate $485,842 for carryover projects

Finance Director Christy Woods presented Budget Amendment No. 1 for FY27, explaining the roll‑forward process for goods and services not completed by June 30. The general fund request totaled $184,216 and was broken down among fire department engineering for Station 2, a police generator and public works Camp and Road widening work; the utility fund request totaled $301,626 for generators, pump repairs and contracted sewer point repairs.
Christy said the amendment will reappropriate funds into FY27 so projects and purchases already underway can be completed. A motion to approve FY27 Budget Amendment No. 1 carried by voice vote.
