Council members and recreation volunteers described an Eagle Scout project to renovate the concession stand and kitchen at borough fields, with work scoped to include painting floors, adding storage hooks and laminating signage. Members of the recreation committee and volunteers said the project was approved by the committee and that work is planned for late August, followed by a safety review before the fall soccer season begins in September.
Those who inspected the plan said the improvements are modest but practical. A resident who has worked in the facility called the ideas "great" and council asked the scout to attend an August meeting to present and finalize details. Council confirmed the committee’s support and agreed to add the item to the August 13 agenda if the scout can participate.
